On May 9, 2020, UNHIF donated 100,000 masks to the Red Cross Society of Lishui Branch,
Zhejiang, China, to support late-stage anti-epidemic of the education system in Lishui, Zhejiang.
This is another action after UNHIF donated 200,000 medical masks to six countries in Europe
and Asia in April. The Chairman of UNHIF, Huang Chunxiao, the representative of UNHIF at
Lishui, Zhu Weiming, the Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group in Red Cross Society
of Lishi Branch, Wang Ticao, The Deputy Director-General of Education in Lishui, Yang Guanxiao,
together with other leaders, joined the ceremony of the donation.
To fight with COVID-19, at the beginning of April, UNHIF officially initiated a global anti-
epidemic and rescue action plan, committed to promoting the international cooperation for
fighting COVID-19, preventing global epidemic from spreading and worsening altogether. The
first stage of the action plan focuses on organizing the resources for anti-epidemic. It mainly donated 200,000 medical masks to six countries including Italy, Spain, England, France, Germany, and Iran, where the epidemic was the most serious. The ceremony of the donation was held on April 3, 2020. The main leaders in UNHIF, including Mr. Huang Chunxiao, Mr. Liu
Bernan, Ms. Chen Yajuan, participated in the ceremony.
